- I started with a picture of a friend of my daughters, and did a bit of red eye reduction on it.
_ Then using the lasso tool I selected the face, then flood filled with black.
_ Going back to original picture I selected the eyes and mouth and going back to black layer I    erased the black in those areas.
_ Using the Draw tool set on Bezier Curve I drew the dividing line on the face as a vector and adjusted nodes to suit myself.
_ I then selected the right side of face and flood filled with white.
_ I adjusted the opacity of the black and white layers.
_ Painted in the lips.
_ Using Eraser on low opacity I erased some around the nose for more definition.
_ Using the Selection tool set on ellipse (vector) I drew area around eyes and adjusted nodes to get shape I wanted. Flood filled the one on white side with black and one on black side with white.
_ Using preset shapes I added other shapes to face.
