How I Did it:
Made Duplicate to work on
· First using Clone tool I corrected stain and a few blemishes.
· I Then made new layer with blend mode set to Color and began coloring picture using my imagination. Actually didn't want to spend too much time on this so I'd not be too careful coloring and then use eraser to get the outlines neater. Did numerous layers so that I wasn't using one color next to another and would then merge and start a new layer. Example...On first layer I did the walls and then the skin tone on faces. Merged... Then did everything that I wanted white and I think added blush and eye color, merged. Then worked on costumes, etc. I probably did 15 layers and merged each one by one.
· On the little girl in green (elf?) suit and little boy with toboggan, they were so dark that the colors wouldn't show up. Using my Lasso tool I selected these and adjusted hue and saturation to get color.
