Photo Workshop - Week #9
Original Pictures Used:

My Composition

What I Did:
Using PSP 7
Background
Hunted through some file for appropriate background for old man and opened
this file.
Applied Glaussian Blur to background.
Old Man
- I first took the picture of the old man, copied onto new transparent image
and carefully erased background.
- Then used Image>Canvas Size to widen my canvas and using clone tool
finished out arm on left side
- I then used Retouch>Color to Target to tint picture.
- Copied the image of old man as new layer onto background, resized and
positioned.
Blue Door
- Copied this image over old man and background, resized and positioned. Using
eraser I erased around edges to give somewhat round picture.
- Hid layers of all but blue door. Selected blue door picture, reopened other
layers and then using airbrush on low opacity and white color sprayed over
picture to give it cloudlike appearance. Deselected
- Using airbrush sprayed in additional little cloud areas
Text
- Again increased canvas size adding 50 pixels at bottom
- Using selection tool >rectangle, selected new area and spray painted
color choice
- Using Text Tool added text
Exported as JPG
Time taken: Approximately 1 hour. Hardest part was cloning in rest of arm and
coloring old man. Not because it was so difficult... just tedious.
