What I Did
When I was playing with some pictures of friends I thought of this orangutan. Decided we'd make friend into a movie star to play in Planet of the Apes. Not sure exactly what you intended but it is now on a black background.
I basically opened a new file with black background and copied picture onto this background. Then using my Magic Wand. I selected the orangutan and erased all the background to leave it black.
Then using Lasso tool I drew around muzzle, copied selection and pasted as new image.
Using the Magic Wand I selected all the facial area and erased the selection.
I took my friend's picture, resized and rotated it to match orangutan photo, and copied it as new layer to picture and moved this layer between the orangutan picture and the background so that her face would show through the hole I'd erased in the orangutan's face.
I then took the muzzle selection and pasted it as top layer to the photo.
Then I used the flood fill set on very opaque and added brown/gray tones to her face and also to the muzzle so that they blended better.
After I had colors done to the best I could, I merged all visible layers and used the retouch tool to smudge and blend the muzzle with the face.
After this, I'm not sure she'll still call me friend, but it was fun doing it.
